Owner Narrative
The contact's employer owns a 2019 Ford F-450. The contact stated while his boss was driving at undisclosed speeds, there was an abnormal banging sound coming from the engine compartment. There was no warning light illuminated. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to a dealer and was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact's employer contacted the manufacturer and was provided a case number. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer unrepaired. The failure mileage was approximately 143,000.
