About this tool
The VIN Explorer lets you query the TruckCodex VIN database (5.85M decoded vehicles) by combining multiple NHTSA vPIC fields. Every filter is AND-combined: selecting Body Class = Truck-Tractor and Fuel Type = Diesel returns only vehicles that match both.
Plant State and Plant City refer to where the
vehicle was assembled (vPIC decode metadata). They are not FMCSA roadside
inspection state or carrier domicile — those are on
Inspections
and Carrier pages.
