TruckCodex ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website truckcodex.com, a public reference platform for commercial motor vehicle data, carrier safety records, inspection histories, violation codes, recalls, and related trucking information. All data presented on this site is sourced from publicly available United States government databases, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), and Transport Canada.

2. Information We Collect

TruckCodex is a data-reference website. We do not require user accounts, logins, or registration. We collect minimal information, limited to:

  • Standard web-server logs: IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. These are retained for security and performance monitoring.
  • Analytics data: Anonymized usage data such as page views, session duration, and general geographic region. We do not track individual users across sessions.
  • Cloudflare performance data: Our site is served through Cloudflare, which may collect technical data (including IP addresses) for security, performance optimization, and DDoS protection. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

  • Personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or mailing addresses

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we collect. All connections to truckcodex.com are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
