Complaint Summary

POWER TRAIN

Owner Narrative

Occasional hard downshift for no reason. Feels like it will damage transmission and lower transmission life. Jerks truck slightly when this occurs. More common on hill. Beginning to have some hard shifting coming out of park - recent issue. Purchased truck new in Jan 2025. Has gotten worse with recent Ford automatic software updates or was not addressed in those updates for another recall. Date listed was most recent. Has been occurring for several months occasionally, but with increasing frequency.

Owner-submitted narrative on file with NHTSA. Complaint narratives are self-reported and have not been verified.
