Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving and exceeding 60 MPH, while driving over a bump or pothole in the roadway, the vehicle started shaking violently in the front end. The driver depressed the brake pedal, and the vehicle decelerated to 30 MPH. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to Customer Satisfaction Program: 20N04. The local dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the steering damper rod needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and informed the contact that there was no recall for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
