The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to respond and was unable to merge into traffic. The contact stated that the vehicle shifted from drive without driver input. The contact stated that the vehicle was locked in an unknown gear. The contact pulled over and restart the vehicle with an unknown warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was due to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V093000 (Electrical System). The contact called an independent mechanic, who failed to determine the cause of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.
