Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle experienced the death wobble, causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to regain control of the vehicle once the vehicle had slowed down. The contact stated that the violent shaking also ceased after slowing down. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the tie rods and all four tires were replaced; however, the failure returned approximately 30,000 miles later. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
