Owner Narrative

The alternator and regulator failed. Parts are available for inspection. Safety was at risk as vehicle could stop or loose nighttime electrical lighting at highway speeds without any prior warning due to sudden loss of electric power. Selling dealer has inspected and confirmed failure of above parts. Components have not been otherwise inspected.The only symptom of imminent failure was a "whineing" noise form the engine compartment audible only when vehicle was not moving. There were no warning lamps, messages,or other signals . This failure occurred at 230 engine hours total and 7000 road miles on unit.
