Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2022 Dorsey Dorsey RV equipped with two Toolboxes mounted on the driverâs and passengerâs side of the RV. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, another driver advised him to pull over. The contact stated that he veered to the side of the road, where he noticed that one of the brackets holding the tool box on the passengerâs side of the RV had fractured, causing the tool box to detach and to drag on the ground between the rear tires. The contact stated that the other bracket holding the toolbox was fractured. The contact was able to tie the toolbox to the RV with straps, and continued driving. The dealer was notified of the failure and contacted the manufacturer, who provided no assistance. The contacted related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 05V332000 (Equipment). The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
