Owner Narrative
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC SIERRA. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL FAILED TO RESPOND WHEN IT WAS DEPRESSED AND THE ABS INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS NO BRAKE FLUID IN THE RESERVOIR AND THE BRAKES WERE RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000. UPDATED 10/10/14*CN THE CONSUMER STATED UPON DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL THE VEHICLE SLOWED, BUT THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE DRIVER MADE A RIGHT TURN AT 35 MPH AND SLID INTO GRAVEL ALMOST HITTING A GUARDRAIL. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. THE CONSUMER HAS HEARD OTHERWISE FROM VARIOUS MECHANICS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. UPDATED 3/31/2015 *JS
