Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the vehicle was driving sluggishly while accelerating, the RPM fell, and the vehicle lost motive power. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The spark plugs were replaced, and a tune-up was performed; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that there was a misfire coming from the engine and that the ignition wires needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
