Complaint Summary
WHEELS:HUB
Owner Narrative
Wheel overheated, causing tire failure, rendering unit non-drivable. I'm told an incorrectly seated bearing was the cause; waiting for the entire axle to be replaced. Now 60 days with manufacturer-authorized service center representative who pursued issue even when manufacturer stated "all clear", which it was not. Warning gauge on dash indicated failure but only upon failure. Highly dangerous, in-traffic situation, I was stranded on roadside for hours in a tight situation - 2 lane highway on a curvey, mountain road.
