Owner Narrative

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle hesitated and then lunged forward. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while driving at various speeds. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the vehicle was functioning normally. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The contact reported that in December 2024, the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact recently received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and related the failure to the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
