TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 JEEP COMPASS. WHILE DRIVING, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ACTIVATED WHILE IN TRAFFIC. ALSO, THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED AND DRIVEN HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BEDARD BROS. CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (452 S STATE RD, CHESHIRE, MA 01225, (413) 743-0014) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE OIL LEVEL WAS LOW, WHICH WAS COMMON WITH THE 2.5 L FIAT ENGINES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
