TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET IMPALA. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO OPERATE. THE CONTACT HEARD A BOMB NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND THE ENGINE COVER, FUEL CAP, AND THE INTAKE MANIFOLD DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 185,000.
