Owner Narrative
PULLED UP TO STOP SIGN. WHEN MAKING RIGHT TURN, ONTO INTERSTATE FRONTAGE ROAD, THROTTLE QUIT WORKING, WRENCH LIGH AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. COASTED TO SIDE OF ROAD. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED IN TO FORD DEALER. WAS TOLD ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL SHUT DOWN VEHICLE, AND THROTTLE BODY WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. HAD IT HAPPENED ANOTHER MINUTE LATTER IT WOULD HAVE FAILED IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY.
