TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD E-350. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, HE NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS. BOTH TECHNICIANS ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE EGR COOLER AND THE HEAD GASKET WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000.
