Owner Narrative
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 DODGE RAM 2500. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED AN ABNORMAL REDUCTION IN ENGINE POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND THE BATTERY CABLES WERE DISCONNECTED. AFTER WAITING TEN MINUTES, THE BATTERY CABLES WERE RECONNECTED AND THE VEHICLE RESUMED AS NORMAL. THE ERRATIC FAILURE RECURRED FIFTEEN TIMES. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
