Owner Narrative
REAR FUEL TANK STRAP THAT HOLDS THE FUEL TANK IN POSITION FAILED. IN 2003 FORD HAD A RECALL ON THIS TRUCK TO INSTALL SAFETY STRAPS AROUND THE FUEL TANK IN CASE THERE WAS A FAILURE OF THE MAIN STRAPS. WHEN THE REAR STRAP FAILED THE SAFETY STRAP FAILED AND THE ONLY THING HOLDING THE TANK IN THE TRUCK WAS THE FUEL LINE. THE TANK WAS ABOUT 3/4 FULL IF IT HAD SEPARATED ALL TOGETHER IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER AND PROBABLY A FIRE. *TR
