TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 FORD F250 WITH A SET OF CONTINENTAL CONTITRAC TIRES, SIZE LT275/70/R18. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 50 MPH WHEN ALL FOUR TIRES SPLIT ON THE SIDEWALL. THE TIRES WERE TAKEN TO A LOCAL TIRE SHOP FOR A REPLACEMENT WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF A POTENTIAL RECALL ON THE TIRES UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 11T002000 (TIRES:TREAD/BELT). THE CONTACT CALLED THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WHO ADVISED THAT BASED ON THE DOT NUMBER OF THE TIRES, THAT THEY WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THE TIRES SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,413.
