TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 DODGE DAKOTA 4X4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING, THE REAR TIRES WOULD SUDDENLY LOCK UP. HE HAD TO PRESS THE OVERDRIVE BUTTON TO STOP THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PROBLEM CAUSED HIM TO HAVE TO REPLACE TWO TRANSMISSIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP WHERE THE TRANSMISSIONS WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 131,625. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.
