TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HUMMER H2. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 35-40 MPH WHEN THE TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SLIP. THE CONTACT MOVED FROM THE ROADWAY AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE. WHEN RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND TO LOWER GEARS. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO LOCATE A RECALL FOR THE FAILURE (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 03V075000- POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) BUT WAS ADVISED BY BOTH THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 124,000.
