Owner Narrative
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD E350. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING LESS THAN 5 MPH, APPROACHING A TRAFFIC STOP SIGNAL, THE TRANSMISSION EXHIBITED A VIOLENT JERK. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED IN OPERATION. AN ERRATIC SHIFTING OCCURRED WHEN TRAVELING AT 50 MPH. ALSO, THE CONTACT OBSERVED WHEN TRAVELING AT THE SPEED RATE BETWEEN 10-20 MPH AN UNUSUAL NOISE WOULD COME FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED A JOLT WHEN THE GEAR SELECTOR WAS SHIFTED FROM "DRIVE" INTO THE "REVERSE" POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THAT THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE WOULD NEED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50.
