Owner Narrative
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD E350 ONE TON CARGO VAN WHICH WAS PURCHASED IN APRIL 2005. THE DRIVER WAS ATTEMPTING TO EXIT THE HIGHWAY AT SPEEDS OF LESS THAN 40 MPH WHEN HE ENGAGED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THEY FAILED TO ENGAGE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS INDICATING BRAKE FAILURE. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO AVOID CRASHING INTO ONCOMING VEHICLES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY REPLACED THE VACUUM PUMP. LATER, WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF LESS THAN 55 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED AGAIN. NO FURTHER REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE TO DATE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNDER 97,000.
