Owner Narrative

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-350. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED EXCESSIVELY AND THE FRONT END BEGAN TO SHIMMY. THE FAILURES OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY RECOMMENDED THAT THE CONTACT CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND THE FAILURE WOULD CEASE. ON SIX SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR IDENTICAL FAILURES, BUT THERE WERE NO RESOLUTIONS. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE MALFUNCTION WAS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE FOR THIS VEHICLE AND COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THE DUMPER WAS REPLACED ON THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, TRANSMISSION FLUID BEGAN LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE AT 4,000 MILES. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE LEAK. THE DRIVER STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION LEAK WAS CONTRIBUTED TO EXCESSIVE VIBRATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE MALFUNCTIONS ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
