Complaint Summary
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Owner Narrative
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD E-350. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN AUGUST OF 2007 FOR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR REPAIR IN NOVEMBER OF 2007, BUT THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL REPLACEMENT PART AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS CONSISTENTLY CALLING THE DEALER TO SEE IF THE PART HAD ARRIVED, BUT WAS INFORMED AGAIN THAT THE PART HAD NOT BEEN MANUFACTURED AND TO CALL BACK LATER. THE CONTACT HAS BECOME VERY DISCOURAGED AND DOES NOT KNOW IF THE RECALL PART WILL EVER BE MANUFACTURED BY FORD. HE WAS UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT ALL THE VEHICLES INCLUDED IN THE RECALL NEEDED THE PART TO WARRANT THE REPAIR SERVICE. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. UPDATED 6/16/08 *CN
