POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER
Owner Narrative
TRUCK LOST POWER AND STOPPED RUNNING. HAD TO BE TOWED INTO DEALERSHIP. THEY FOUND A SMALL PIN THAT LETS THE GEARS CHANGE BROKE AND ALSO THE TORQUE CONVERTER WENT OUT. FORD WOULD NOT SEND THEM A NEW TRANSMISSION AND MADE THEM REBUILD THE OLD ONE. TORQUE CONVERTER ON BACK ORDER - ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE WAS FEBRUARY 25. OUR PROBLEM OCCURRED ON JANUARY 12. THE TRUCK ONLY HAD 3,600 MILES ON IT WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. *NM
