Owner Narrative
FAILURE OF BALL JOINT IN STEERING LINKAGE ATTACHING PASSENGER SIDE FRONT WHEEL TO STEERING LINKAGE. THE RESULT WAS LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT WHEEL. THIS OCCURED ON A STRAIGHT STRETCH OF HIGHWAY. THE PART WAS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT AND HAD NOT BEEN DAMAGED. THE BALL CAME OUT OF THE SOCKET, A POTENTIALY FATAL FLAW.
