Complaint Summary
STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS
Owner Narrative
MY TRUCK FRACTURED THE FRAME ON BOTH MAIN RAILS RIGHT BEHIND THE CAB AT THE FRONT OF THE CARGO BOX. THE FRACTURES RUN FULL HEIGHT OF BOTH BEAMS AND THE ONLY REMAINING ATTACHMENT WHEN I FOUND THE PROBLEM WAS THE VERY BOTTOM LIP OF THE C-SHAPE CHANNEL. WHEN I WOULD ACCELERATE THE TRUCK IT BENT UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FRAME - RIGHT OVER THE FRONT GAS TANK. AT THE TIME THE TRUCK WAS CARRYING A 9 1/2 FT. TRUCK CAMPER WITH A LIT AND OPERATING PROPANE REFRIGERATOR. IF THE FRAM HAD SEPERATRED WHILE DRIVING AN EXPLOSION WOULD HAVE MOST LIKELY FOLLOWED. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT ALLSTATE HAS HAD CLAIMS ON 3 OF THESE IN THE RECENT PAST IN THE ANCHORAGE, AK CLAIM OFFICE ALONE. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.
