The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-250. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V572000 (Back Over Prevention). The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera displayed a blank or distorted image. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who inspected it and determined that the vehicle did not meet the requirement to replace the rearview camera. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
