Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that while the vehicle was with an independent mechanic for a scheduled service, the contact was informed that the frame underneath the engine was rusted. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that an unknown recall associated with the failure had expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
