Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH at night, the message âPress Engine Start Buttonâ was displayed, and the vehicle lost power. The vehicle was coasted to an exit ramp. The contact stated that after coming to a complete stop, the vehicle started to operate as intended. The vehicle was serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); but the recall repair failed to fix the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had occurred after the recall repair was performed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 24,000.
