Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Explorer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V695000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while in reverse(R), the back over prevention camera displayed a distorted image, or a green or black screen. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the recall repair could not be performed because the part was not yet available. The manufacturer was not informed of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 240,000
