Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the ABS, the trailer brakes, the speedometer, the odometer, and the fuel gauge had become inoperable. The ABS and traction control system warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired due to parts not being available. The contact was advised that reimbursement might be available if the repair was performed at the owner's expense. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 206,698.
