Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 1993 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The contact moved the gear shifter several times, and the vehicle started. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The contact was informed of two recall notifications, NHTSA Campaign Number: 02V053000 (Power Train) and 13V252000 (Fuel System, Gasoline, Structure). The dealer refused to inspect or complete the recall repairs. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 168,000
