The contact owns a 2015 Ford Escape. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V695000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the part required for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera displayed a brief image before the screen turned black with the message "Camera Failure. Cannot Display". The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the remedy was not available, and no estimated time of availability was provided. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.
