Owner Narrative
The brakes on my 2013 Ford Edge failed with no notice. Luckily I was able to coast into a parking lot to get stopped. Even pushing the brake pedal to the floor will not stop the car. We immediately and safely took the car to our local repair shop who confirmed we needed 2 ABS parts to fix the car. That was Oct, 2025 and as of today (June 10, 2026)the parts are still not available to order. I have checked with 3 Ford dealers in 3 states and all say the same thing. They can't order the parts to fix my car and say over 1,500 are on back order. The car is undriveable with no brakes and creates a major safety risk. I have heard some dealers got Ford to provide a rental car. It is becoming a financial burden not having a car to drive for 10 months and Ford doesn't seem to have put out any recall or offer any help.
