Owner Narrative
Front gas tank strap rotted out and broke causing the trap to carve into the drive shaft.im lucky i had just come off the parkway but drive shaft was looked at as dangerous and could split in half .It is know there is a recall on the straps and an extended repair of 12 years. They emailed me saying they wonât cover either repair. Also saying the driveshaft is not covered but the problem they admit to caused the second repair? I have a repair bill and a number of other people on the internet that have had the same issue from this broken tank strap. My truck was at the westbury dealer a number of times over the years and they never once brought this up to me. Please help me. I am retired 67 years old and I feel Iâm being taken advantage of. T. Y PS I could have been serious injured
