Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V544000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part for the repair was unavailable. The contact stated the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the remedy to be available. The contact stated that when applying the brakes, they noticed the brakes seemed to be dragging or slow to brake, and the contact noticed a sound as if an excessive amount of air pressure was being released when the brakes were applied. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer initially stated that the remedy would be available in April of 2026; however, they had not received notice that a remedy was available. The was contacted, and it was stated that the remedy would not be available, and they would not know more till around September of 2026. The failure mileage was 115,251.
