Owner Narrative

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the ABS and traction control warning lights illuminated, causing the cruise control and trailer brakes to become inoperable. The local dealer and a secondary dealer, Okeechobee Dodge Chrysler Jeep (4224 US-441, Okeechobee, FL 34974), were made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.
