Owner Narrative

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the local dealer, it was determined that the heat shield was rubbing on the drive shaft. There was damage to the drive shaft. The dealer informed the contact about NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V778000 (Fuel System, Diesel). No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer suggested that the receipts be kept as records for possible recalls. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
