Owner Narrative
The recall for theABS HCU has been in place for well over a year with no parts. Nothing is being done with this recall. My ABS HCU has not been working in two years causing loss of traction control, no ABS, no cruise control. I was almost in a head on collision with a car in my lane and the truck skidded off the road. Luckily thereâs was no collision or injury. It is ridiculous that ram still offers the part that has been identified as bad but has made no effort to replace with a better unit yet are continuing to build new vehicles. At the very least RAM should install a new âbadâ part until replacement parts are available. I have attached a screenshot of the RAM app showing the status of the recall.
