Complaint Summary
SERVICE BRAKES
Owner Narrative
Vehicle was purchased new with 45 miles on the odometer in December 2025. The brakes on the truck do not begin to engage until the brake pedal is depressed greater than 50% of its travel. The initial feedback of the brake pedal within the first 50% of travel is numb with virtually no resistance. While driving the truck from the purchasing dealer in Warrenton, VA to Chicago, IL, I encountered several instanced during medium to heavy traffic where I expected the truck to stop, but the significant vagueness in the pedal turned a routine slow down situation into an emergency/panic stop. After putting ~1200 miles on the truck, it has not gotten better. I am currently waiting to see the results of our other "twin" truck (XXX) that is currently at a local dealership in the [XXX] area. There are no warning lights on and, as of now, the dealership has had the truck for almost 2 weeks with no resolution currently available from the service department, nor the manufacturer.
