Owner Narrative

The contact owns a 2019 Acura RDX. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the rear windshield unexpectedly shattered immediately after opening the rear passenger’s door. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the failure was a known issue related to Technical Service Bulletin: 22-014. The dealer referred the contact to a windshield specialist for further assistance. The vehicle was taken to the windshield specialist, where the rear windshield was repaired but not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 95,000.
