Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contactâs spouse stated that while attempting to reverse, the back-over prevention system became inoperable. The spouse reported that the rearview camera image was blank, and none of the rear sensors provided any notification or warning, resulting in the vehicle reversing into a tree. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and 25V686000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the parts to complete the recall repairs were not yet available. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time to complete the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 49,700.
