Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2024 Honda Pilot. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V735000 (STEERING). The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the recall repair was performed; however, the contact stated that afterwards, while driving at various speeds and making a right or left turn, the steering wheel was making an abnormal clicking sound and was jerking abnormally. The Lane Keep Assist warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the rack and pinion were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000.
