Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while shifted into reverse(R), the rear-view camera image was either black or displayed upside down. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
