Complaint Summary
FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Owner Narrative
Ford has a problem where the 34 gallon gas tank only reads as a 20-25 gallon gas tank. They have a service bulletin on it and the number for that is 17-0046. After calling multiple dealerships I was told thousands would have to come out of my pocket because of their factory defect. The fix includes replacing the whole fuel tank and also replacing the fuel level sender. My vehicle being within the dates are clearly affected by this defect and I donât understand why it should be coming out of my pocket. Thank you for your help!
