Owner Narrative
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while her husband was reversing, there was an abnormal pop coming from the vehicle. In addition, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel independently turned to the left. Upon further inspection, the contact's husband noticed that there was a bolt that was loosened on the driverâs side of the steering gearbox. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a hairline fracture on the subframe due to rust. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. The VIN was not available.
