Owner Narrative

The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V248000 (Power Train); however, the repair failed to prevent the failure. The contact stated that two days after the recall repair was completed, while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle unexpectedly decelerated while the accelerator pedal was depressed. An unknown message was displayed on the instrument panel. In addition, the contact stated that the speedometer was no longer illuminated. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.
